Privacy Policy

We collect as little as we can and never sell your data.
What we collect
- From Google or Facebook when you sign in: your name, email address, profile picture and an account id. Your name and email are never shown publicly. Other people only see your username.
- If you sign up with email and password: your email address and a one-way, salted hash of your password. We never store or see the password itself.
- What you create: sounds you upload, their titles, descriptions and tags, your likes and any reports you send.
- Usage counts: anonymous play, like and download counts per sound.
- Reports from visitors who aren't signed in: a one-way salted hash of your IP address, used only to stop the same person reporting a sound repeatedly. We never store your raw IP address.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or track you across sites. Anonymous reporters see a Cloudflare Turnstile check to keep bots out.
Who processes data for us
Cloudflare hosts the site, database and sound files. Google and Facebook handle sign-in. If enabled, Sentry receives error reports with personal data removed.
Your choices
- Change your username any time in Settings.
- Delete your account from Settings. This permanently deletes your profile, likes and every sound you uploaded.
- If you signed in with Facebook you can also remove Soundinator from your Facebook settings, which triggers the same deletion. See data deletion.
